| Dear Friend & Associate:
Whew! May ended up being a crazy month! The Cooke Team and the Cooke Household spent the month in a whirlwind! For those of you that are golfers, and know that I am learning the game, I got to play in two different scrambles this past month. I love to get out and chase that little white ball! GOLF ANYONE? Next came my quick trip to Colorado! I have a company that I work with as my professional Real Estate Coach! They help me with the management of my business and its finances! We meet in a remote location twice a year and so in May I made a quick trip into the Denver area and then drove to Beaver Creek (just past Vail) to spend a few days getting educated and rejuvenated for the summer! It is great to get with other Realtors that are mastering our profession in different areas of the country and we share ideas, tips and have a great time networking as a group! Once I got back from there it was time to celebrate my son, Kory’s 8th birthday! I know those of you with children can appreciate this comment, but where does the time go and how could it be possible for Kory to be 8 ALREADY! He will be a big third grader and as a proud mother I have to brag about him for just a minute. He received the Bible Award and the Academic Excellence Award (for straight "A"s) for his 2nd grade class at Ezell Harding. Greg and I are very proud at what a sweet young man he is turning into! The following week -- all CHAOS broke loose!

Some of you may not have known that Greg and I were renewing our vows to each other over the Memorial Day weekend in celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary! We eloped 10 years ago and decided to celebrate our 10th anniversary by renewing our vows and having a celebration with our family and friends! We spent the week entertaining our out of town friends as they came in, having a bachelor and bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner and then the Ceremony! It went off without a hitch and it was perfect! Greg and I have reflected on the chain of events and truly can say that we wouldn’t change a thing! On Monday, Memorial Day we headed to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands for 5 days of R & R! We really needed it! We spent a day snorkeling in St. John and shopping in town at St. Thomas, but other than that we enjoyed being away from our phones and the normal everyday life! We are officially back from vacation and working like crazy! Please keep The Cooke Team in mind for any Real Estate needs you or someone you know may have this summer. We are looking forward to servicing our friends and referrals with professional service!

After spending time with my family and closest friends over the past few weeks, I realized that I work WAY TOO MUCH! So I have promised myself to slow down and enjoy the sunshine and my family and friends this summer!! I would encourage all of you to take some time in the VERY NEAR FURTURE to enjoy some time with the people that mean the most to you!
Thank you and God Bless ~ Kendra

| Kendra's Do It Yourself Tips!
Boating Time in Tennessee! By John Greviskis
Host John Greviskis (right) reveals a checklist every boater should use prior to launching your boat:.
- Turn the battery switch to On to ensure there is power running to the motor as well as any other electronics aboard.
- Place earmuffs over the raw water intake (figure A below right), located on the lower unit. Screw in the garden hose to the adapter on the earmuffs. Turn on the water so that water is flowing into the lower unit.
- Trim down the motor, run the blower and then start the engine.
- Make sure the steering is working correctly, then bump the motor into forward and then reverse.
- If your boat has a VHF radio, ensure that it is working properly. Then, try to hail another boater using an open channel.
- Check your safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency signaling devices. Also, there should be at least one PFD for each passenger along with at least one throwable PFD.
- Load your boat with anything you want to bring out on the water (figure B - right). This will save you and others time at the ramp.
